Ready to Go and Ready to Grow!
In an effort to help our FSSA client bring more knowledge and awareness to On My Way Pre-K, we created a small, bilingual children’s book.
“On My Way Pre-K awards vouchers to 4 year olds from low-income families so that they may have access to a high-quality pre-K program the year before they begin kindergarten.”
This opportunity was such a fun one! Once we got our main story approved, I went into storyboarding/sketching how I would layout the pages. Once I got a green light on the sketches, I went into fully illustrating this book. The fun challenge for this particular book was that I kept the color palette mainly On My Way Pre-K (OMWPK) colors with a few additions, mainly created from their palette to create different skin tones for the kids in the book.
From the book’s illustrations, I helped create several animations and visuals for their social media platforms. My favorite animation that I worked on with illustrations from this book has to be the “What Do You See” post (also below):
