ASCII Anything Podcast

In December 2020, our Moser Consulting internal marketing team started our very first podcast, ASCII Anything. As of the end of 2021, we are over 40 episodes into our podcasting adventure.

The name ASCII (ask-ee) Anything is a pun, “ask me anything,” with the American Standard Code for Information Interchange (ASCII) language that is used in tech. The intent of the podcast is to feature our team members as specialists when it comes to all things tech. We not only talk about tech, but also communications, hiring, business, etc. We partnered with our wonderful friends at Casted to house our episodes, get insight on metrics, and podcasting in general – we meet monthly to discuss the progression of the podcast.

In addition to the marketing team’s hard work, we had two team members help us create custom music and speak voiceover for the launch of ASCII Anything, and our very own HR Advisor, Angel Leon, hosts our episodes.

I had the pleasure of designing the cover art, animations, promotional items, and social media graphics. While designing the cover art and logo, I used ASCII symbols to create the shape of each letter as well as the microphone graphic. The cover animation was created in After Effects by positioning each letter layer and then converting the opacity and scale of the lines around the microphone.

For social media, we kept the designs consistent with the same blue color from our color palette but switched it up once we got into the second season to show the change.

I’ve also spoken on the podcast for S2E17: Thanksgiving Traditions and S2E18: Black Friday Bonanza – Tech Gifts 2021. PS, that will probably be the most I will talk on the podcast ;)!
